I enjoy drinking juices – preferably homemade ones. Making juice yourself takes a bit longer than just buying it, but I believe the time investment is worth it. Juices give me energy and are (usually ;)) pretty tasty. They also make me glow. So, with my book launch coming up, I’ve started drinking a green juice on an empty stomach each day for the past month. I started out with juices made of a mix of various vegetables (like kale, spinach, celery, fennel and bok choy (a friend of mine laughed at me for this!)) and lemon, but for the past two weeks, I’ve switched over to celery on its own. It doesn’t make for the tastiest juice I’ve ever had, but I’ve heard so many good things about it.
I’ve been following Anthony Williams for a while now, and he says that celery juice has an alkalizing effect on the intestinal tract, as it contains a natural form of sodium (salt) and other mineral salts. According to Williams, these salts help your body to remove toxins and harmful bacteria from your intestines. The juice also strengthens your stomach acid, purifies the blood vessels and helps fight skin problems. I thought it was definitely worth a try! I’ve been drinking it for a while now and have noticed that I’ve been feeling great. My skin is looking better and I also feel more fit, mentally sharper and stronger than I’ve ever been. Who’s with me?
